What it requires
Each member state runs a producer register and producers must be registered in every state where they first make packaging available. The harmonized registration and reporting format is an Art. 44(14) implementing act that was statutorily due 12 February 2026, twelve months after entry into force, and has not been adopted. Member States then have 18 months from its adoption to conform their registers. Until then, registration remains country-by-country on national formats.
