A seventh correction to the PPWR was published in the Official Journal on September 18, 2026, and like the six before it, it touches one language only. This one is Italian. It fixes the definition of who is the producer when packaging or packaged goods are sold directly into another EU country (Article 3(1)(15)(c) and (d)): the Italian text said "consumers" where every other language says "end users", and point (d) was garbled.
What this means for you. If you sell packaging or packaged goods directly to business customers in another member state, you are the producer there, and that is now what the Italian text says too. The English text is unchanged, and there has still never been an English-language corrigendum, so nothing moves for anyone working from the English. If you or your Italian counsel work from the Italian text, use the corrected version, especially for authorized-representative decisions under Article 45(3), which hang on exactly these two limbs.
